Sarah Palin, one who has never been know for having a keen, inquiring mind nor the sharpest of intellects, showed her true “colors” the other day, and the Trumpettes are falling directly in line. The former governor of Alaska and Vice-Presidential nominee was quoted as saying that we should boycott the Mall of America on the grounds that, and I quote, “Santa was always white in the Bible”.

How nice of her to make me aware of that fact. Obviously there’s been a gap in my education somewhere, hard to think of where though. I guess I must have been absent on the day they taught racist idiocy.

Anyway, if you’re curious what she had to say, and actually you should read it because the Trumpettes believe every word this fool says, Here’s the link; Sarah Paling Calls To Boycott Mall of America

This is the first of posts about the US election and the victory of Mr. Trump. I must admit I’m still processing my feelings, dealing with my shock, my bitterness, my anger and a very deep sorrow, among other feelings. I hope to post my own reactions soon, and am hoping, dear reader, that they will be something more positive, as much as possible, than what I’ve been writing on the privacy of my own computer.

I hope you find the article helpful, if not enlightening.

Don’t Bite The Hook

Two things come to mind, Rump used the same tactics as Adolf Hitler to get elected; prey on the ignorance of the people, feed their hatred and fear and then tell them that you’re the only one that understands, the only one that can save them, use that heightened sense of fear to raise an anger that grows and consumes any wisdom. This is how facism works.
The other thing is an enormous fear over the future as i watch a delusional bully with a limited intellect and the compassion of a dead lizard, I picture him drooling at the thought of being in the oval office with his fingers on the launch codes.

I am dead fucking angry and I’m scared more than ever. This jackass has just put a target on every free-thinking american everywhere. The assumption will be that we support his racist hate. Well, I, for one, refuse to. Fuck him and his hate. I refuse to be a part of his hate group. ( perhaps other than hating him).
I don’t care who you are. Be it family or friend, if you voted for this sonofabitch  then you are no friend of mine and you are not welcome in my life. Unfriend me immediately!! Take your brown shirts, your swastikas and your hate and get the fuck out of my life!!!!

Rump thinks he’ll have it easy. We will organize. We will fight. We will burn it down if need be!!

Harriet Tubman On The Hilltops Of Heaven

Prayed as she tossed stones down

Into the valley of remembrance.

And each she offered with a prayer,

A word of blessing to each name

Written one by one on each stone.

To those both named and unnamed,

The mild and the strong,

The wretched and the saints.

To each life ripped away by hatred

Those who empowered

Those who oppressed

Everyone who hid behind walls

Those who stood to be counted

Those who were beaten down.

Those who saw their own death

Written in front of their eyes

On burning crosses

Spread across Mother Earths bosom.

Who saw their children’s souls ascend and

Cried the tears of Virgin Mary.

Those who at the moment of death

Saw their own fate reflected

In the futures of their children.

Those whose lives were filled with fear,

Those who heard unforgotten words of hate

In their dead ears for centuries.

Those who touched the sky,

Those who could barely crawl,

Those killed because they ran,

Those hung from trees,

Those dragged into the earth,

Those whose wounds bled for generations.

Those who believed blindly,

Those who suffered the lies in silence,

And those who knew a lie for a lie

And died trying to teach.

When she ran out of stones

Her cry was heard throughout the universe

For there were so many more names than stones

This is a brilliant article about how many Trump has offended by his racist misogynist fascist diatribes and totally without any apology. but then, how or why would one expect it?  To TRULY apologize, it is, as I understand it, an act based upon a sympathetic feeling and a feeling of true remorse. He isn’t capable of such feelings. That is one of the key signals for a psychotic, the total inability to understand or appreciate the consequences of one’s actions. It is also one of the characteristics for fascists as well. At any rate, do read this article,, and feel free to leave me feedback.

An Open Letter to Donald Trump: I Reject Your Apology. Here’s Why.

A very insightful article appeared in the New York Times today, written by Ban Ki-Moon, who is as you should all know, the Secretary General of the United Nations. The article deals with, primarily,  the seeming inability for the state of Israel to accept the inevitability of criticism of their apartheid state as well as the urgency for peace.

Be it Mr. Ki-Moon, or Margot Wallström, the Foreign Minister here in Sweden, in my opinion a superb politician and a person with great sense of decency and convictions, who has taken a terrible beating from both the press and Israel, including Israeli newspaper Makor Rishon when they compared Margot Wallström to Count Folke Bernadotte (including a nod to the Swedish diplomat’s assassination in Jerusalem in 1948), noting “the latent anti-Semitism that characterizes her, her arrogance, ignorance and thinking about her Muslim constituents’ interests.”

And yet another Israeli newspaper, in an op-ed has declared that Ms. Wallström “deserves assassination, ( an article can be found here:  http://mondoweiss.net/2016/01/adelson-newspaper-suggests-swedish-foreign-minister-deserves-assassination-for-antisemitic-dna

Mr. Ki-Moon goes on to explain the need for immediate serious discussions regarding the two state solution, the need for a unification of thought between and including Gaza and Palestinian Authority, and of course, the immediate need for an end to violence in the areas as a whole. I have very high respect for both Mr. Ki-Moon and Ms. Wallström and urge you to inform yourselves and others regarding the status of Israels refusal to see the truth, and the urgency of the need for a solution. As Mr. Ki-Moon points out, quite correctly, it may be getting to late.

there is no them, there is only us.

I tried to walk on the earth

In a place where it did not ache

Find that spot where

My bare feet might not do damage

But its pain was all-encompassing.

With every step I felt it cry.

With no place left to go

I cut off my feet.

I tried to find a field

that didn’t know of hunger

Where the crops could feed the multitudes

But the corn was crying

Its husks were brown and its heart broken.

I felt so insufficient

I couldn’t find crops enough

So i starved myself.

I searched the borders for refugees

That felt safe and welcome

But the children were starving

And the parents frightened

I tried to speak but no one spoke my language

I tried to open my nations borders

To harbor those who flee

But many who were inside

Turned violent,

Terrified by what they didn’t know or understand.

I turned their water to wine

Their swords to plowshares

But still they wouldn’t share.

I tried to find a song

That all could sing and feel inspired

But no one grasped the meaning

I cried and became mute.
